So much to see and do on the Mendocino coast!

Our New Marine Protected Areas

Understanding our network of protection on the north coast

California is leading the way in ocean conservation with the establishment of a new statewide network of marine protected areas (MPAs) designed to create more sustainable marine ecosystems.

Hiking the Coastal Trail

The vision for the California Coastal Trail (CCT) is to build a continuous interconnected public trail system along the California coastline as close to the ocean as possible. About half of California’s coastline has already become part of this public trail system – and is available to explore!
